Billy Bob Thornton keert terug als de criminele kerstman-imitator Willie Stokes in dit feestelijke vervolg op de zwarte komedie. nog steeds, dezelfde dronken, hebzuchtige kerel, Willie en zijn sidekick Marcus (tony cox) spannen samen om deze kerst veel winst te maken, door een liefdadigheidsinstelling in Chicago te beroven.
deze keer hebben ze wat hulp, ook al is het een beetje onwelkom, van Willie's moeder, Sunny (Kathy Bates). ze is even ambitieus als brutaal, dus ze zou er precies tussen moeten passen. maar de zaken kunnen nog ingewikkelder worden dankzij de betrokkenheid van de bom die het goede doel leidt, Diane (Christina Hendricks).
