Die Musik für die Passagen wurde von Clayton Bartholomew (Ex-Secrets of the Sky) während drei Wochen im Juli 2017 geschrieben. Der Nachfolger des 2017er Lifeforce Records-Debüts von Mountaineer „Sirens and Slumber“ wurde von Anfang bis Ende der Reihe nach geschrieben, und nichts war so gelöscht oder neu geschrieben und das Album wurde im Laufe von 6 Tagen aufgenommen. Ben Hirschfield hat die Platte auch entwickelt und gemischt. Es wurde von Mike Kalajian bei Rogue Planet Mastering gemastert. Das Album besteht aus zwei 20-minütigen Liedern, die in Passagen unterteilt sind. Die Lieder sind durch mehrere übergreifende Themen miteinander verbunden, konzentrieren sich jedoch hauptsächlich auf den Kampf, das Konzept der Sterblichkeit zu verstehen. Die Band verwendete in den Passagen einige interessante Klangebenen. Xylophone, Klavier, Tamburin, Glocken und Bierflaschen als Schlagzeug sind nur einige Beispiele.
