Jay-Zs eigene Songs „No Church in the Wild“ und „100$ Bill“ sind zusammen mit neuen Songs von Florence + the Machine, Lana Del Rey, Nero, will.i.am und the xx zu hören, die für Szenen im Film geschrieben wurden. Der äußerst vielseitige Soundtrack enthält auch Lieder von Künstlern wie Beyoncé und André 3000; Fergie, Q Tip und GoonRock; Coco O. von Quadron, Gotye; Nero; und Sia. Es gibt auch ein paar Favoriten mit einer neuen Wendung, wie zum Beispiel Jack Whites Interpretation von U2s „Love Is Blindness“, Beyoncé und André 3000, die bei Amy Winehouses „Back to Black“ zusammenarbeiteten, und Bryan Ferrys neue Interpretation einiger Klassiker: seine eigene „Love Is The Drug“ und mit Emeli Sandé Beyoncés „Crazy in Love“.
