Nathan Milstein gilt allgemein als einer der größten Geiger des 20. Jahrhunderts. Als Schüler des berühmten Leopold Auer blieb Milstein nach der Revolution von 1917 in Russland und wanderte erst Mitte der 1920er Jahre in den Westen aus. Neben Solokonzerten trat Milstein in einem Klaviertrio mit Horowitz und Piatigorsky auf. Nachdem er sich im Westen niedergelassen hatte, etablierte er sich als bedeutender Musikkünstler und gab bis Mitte der 80er Jahre weiterhin Konzerte. Diese CD enthält viele Artikel, die noch nie zuvor im Handel erhältlich waren. Von besonderem Interesse sind die Gesamtaufnahmen, die Milstein für die „Basic Music Library“ des Armed Forces-Labels gemacht hat. Dazu gehören mehrere Werke, die er sonst nie aufgenommen hat, darunter die Violinsonate Nr. 2 von Brahms und kurze Stücke von Ravel und Wieniawski. Auf dieser CD-Veröffentlichung sind auch Milsteins V-Disc- und „Voice of America“-Aufnahmen sowie das RCA-Album „Violin Favorites“ mit beliebten Violinsolo-Zugaben, arrangiert für Orchesterbegleitung von Leroy Anderson, enthalten.

The Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) is an electronic portal that businesses can use to comply with their VAT obligations on distance sales of imported goods. Since 1st July 2021, all goods imported into the EU with a value of up to €150 are subject to VAT. No additional VAT fees should be paid for the delivery of parcels in Europe under €150.
