Transmission Neuauflage des Breakthrough Porcupine Tree Albums auf CD „In Absentia“ war das siebte Studioalbum der Band, das erstmals 2002 veröffentlicht wurde und das erste einer Reihe von drei Alben war, die für viele den Höhepunkt der künstlerischen Errungenschaften der Band darstellen. Es war so etwas wie ein Durchbruch für die Band und verkaufte sich dreimal mehr als frühere Veröffentlichungen. Im Anschluss an „Lightbulb Sun“ aus dem Jahr 2000? Es hatte einen deutlich härteren Ton, was teilweise auf die Hinzufügung des legendären Schlagzeugers Gavin Harrison zurückzuführen war, und war auch ihr erstes Album für das Major-Label Lava / Atlantic Records. „In Absentia“ enthält viele der beliebtesten Songs von Porcupine Tree, darunter „Trains“, „The Sound of Muzak“ und „Blackest Eyes“. Amazing customer service!
