Der in Karatschi geborene Gitarrist, Komponist und Produzent Azhar Kamal präsentiert sein Projekt: „Folk Jazz Explosion“. Kamal wurde in Karachi geboren und wuchs in London auf, wo er unter anderem mit Jamiroquai, Bobby Womack, Keziah Jones und Roachford auftrat. Seit 1995 lebt er in München, wo er ua mit Roberto DiGioias Marsmobil, Milva, Gitte Haenning, Tom Novy, Willy Astor auftrat. Er arbeitet als Komponist für Theater, Fernsehen und Film. Die Musik auf „Folk Jazz Explosion“ ist inspiriert von The Incredible String Band, Vashti Bunyan, Fairport Convention, Sandy Denny, Bert Jansch und Nick Drake. Der Titel wurde inspiriert, um Pete Seegers Zorn über die Absorption und Marginalisierung der Folk-Szene durch „Rock Explosion“ Mitte der 60er Jahre zu rächen, veranschaulicht durch Bob Dylan, der 1964 beim Newport Jazz Festival eine Fender Stratocaster einsteckte. Diese Platte „Folk Jazz Explosion“ enthält keinen einzelnen Spleiß, keinen Overdub oder korrigierten, technisch manipulierten Teil. Alle Aufführungen erfolgten in einem Take von oben bis unten. Alle Vocals wurden live vorgetragen und der Ausdruck wurde der Perfektion vorgezogen.

Amazing customer service!
