Im Frankreich des frühen 18. Jahrhunderts befand sich Ren Drouard de Bousset auf dem Höhepunkt seiner Popularität als virtuoser Organist, eine Rolle, die er mit Lehrtätigkeit und nebenberuflicher Kompositionstätigkeit verband. De Bousset begann, die Convulsionnaires, eine jansenistische religiöse Bewegung, etwa zu der Zeit in Verbindung zu bringen, als die Begeisterung für die französische Cantate in ganz Frankreich grassierte. Obwohl es zahlreiche Exemplare der Kantate gibt, ist die Cantate spirituelle viel seltener, ein logischer Schritt für De Bousset, von dem es nur drei bekannte Komponisten gibt. Die Cantate spirituelle war eine Form, die am späten Hof Ludwigs XIV. zunehmend in Mode kam. Das Ensemble für Alte Musik Le Tendre Amour unter der Leitung von Katy Elkin und Esteban Mazer ist als Miniorchester konzipiert. Die in Barcelona ansässige Gruppe ist auf prestigeträchtigen Festivals für Alte Musik in ganz Europa aufgetreten und ihr Programm jüdischer Barockmusik brachte ihnen den Preis für die beste Interpretation beim Festival der Barockabende in Varadin in Kroatien ein.

Amazing customer service!
