Im Jahr 1992 listete Carlton Lowenberg in seinem Buch Musicians wrestle Everywhere: Emily Dickinson and Music nicht weniger als 1.615 auf ihren Texten basierende Kompositionen von 276 verschiedenen Komponisten ab 1896 auf; Laut dem Musikwissenschaftler Enrico Maria Polimanti hat sich diese Zahl bis 2007 fast verdoppelt. Im Jahr 2018 zeigt Francesco Cartas Dodici romanze su poesie di Emily Dickinson für Sopran und Streichorchester, dass das Wachstum dieses Repertoires noch lange nicht gestoppt ist. Die Auswahl der Gedichte ist jedoch neu und fängt einige der inspiriertesten Momente metaphysischer Unruhe in Dickinsons gesamtem Werk auf. Das Nuova Orchestra Pedrollo di Vicenza unter der Leitung von Gabriele dal Santo begleitet die Sopranistin Naoka Ohbayashi bei der Aufführung dieser ganz besonderen Vision der Dichtertexte von Francesco Carta.

Amazing customer service!
