Heute eines der angesehensten Streichquartette, wurden die Belcea 1994 am Royal College of Music in London gegründet und studierten beim Chilingirian-, Amadeus- und später beim Alban Berg-Quartett. Sie nahmen fast ein Jahrzehnt lang, zwischen 2000 und 2009, für EMI Classics auf. Heute ist das Belcea eines der angesehensten Streichquartette.
