1980/1981 gingen The Damned für eine Reihe von Sessions nach Rockfield, aus denen schließlich The Black Album, The Friday 13th EP & Strawberries hervorgingen. Ihre Zeit dort brachte einige der größten musikalischen Momente der Damned und denkwürdige Geschichten über Pferde, Kühe, Vampire, Gewehre und Lemmy hervor.
2019 kehrten The Damned in die Rockfield-Studios zurück, um die erste neue Musik seit dem Top-Ten-Album „Evil Spirits“ aus dem Jahr 2018 aufzunehmen. Das Line-up umfasste drei der vier Damned-Mitglieder, die bei den ursprünglichen Sessions anwesend waren – David Vanian, Captain Sensible und Paul Gray. Außerdem waren Monty Oxymoron am Keyboard und Pinch am Schlagzeug dabei. Ohne dass die Band davon wusste, sollte dies die letzte Aufnahme mit dem langjährigen Schlagzeuger Pinch sein, der The Damned nach ihrem legendären Auftritt im London Palladium letztes Halloween verließ.
Zum ersten Mal übernahm Tom Dalgety (Royal Blood, Rammstein, Ghost) die Produzentenaufgaben für die EP. Tom hat die Tracks auch in seinem Studio in Bath gemischt.

What is the IOSS (Import One-Stop Shop)?

The Import One-Stop Shop (IOSS) is an electronic portal that businesses can use to comply with their VAT obligations on distance sales of imported goods. Since 1st July 2021, all goods imported into the EU with a value of up to €150 are subject to VAT. No additional VAT fees should be paid for the delivery of parcels in Europe under €150.
