Ubuntu Music freut sich, die Unterzeichnung von OK Aurora, einem achtköpfigen Jazz-meets-Pop-Ensemble, für die Veröffentlichung ihres Albums Only in Autumn am 30. Juli 2021 bekannt zu geben. OK Aurora ist ein in London ansässiges Oktett unter der Leitung von Schlagzeuger Rod Oughton. Dieses Projekt lässt sich von Künstlern wie Steely Dan und Becca Stevens inspirieren und verbindet zeitgenössischen Jazz und Popmusik. Ihre Debüt-EP „Baby Zeza“ wurde 2019 veröffentlicht und seitdem ist die Band in ganz Großbritannien aufgetreten, unter anderem in London, Bristol und im Südwesten. Im Jahr 2020 finanzierte der Arts Council of England die UK-Tournee von OK Aurora und die Aufnahme ihres kommenden Debütalbums Only in Autumn, das im Giant Wafer Studio in Wales aufgenommen wurde. Die Band wird von Rod Oughton geleitet, einem aufstrebenden Künstler Jazz-Schlagzeuger mit Sitz in London. Das achtköpfige Ensemble besteht aus einer Reihe aufstrebender Musiker der britischen Jazzszene, darunter Alina Miroshnichenko (Gesang), Alexandra Ridout (Trompete), Ronan Perrett (Altsaxophon), Dan Smith (Tenorsaxophon), Jacky Naylor (Klavier) und Billy Marrows (Gitarre). ), Pete Komor (Bass), zusammen mit Rod Oughton (Schlagzeug und Kompositionen).
