Bei ihrer Rückkehr zur Erde stellen sie fest, dass ein verheerender Atomkrieg die Welt in eine nahezu leblose Hülle verwandelt hat. Die Suche nach Überlebenden und Hinweisen auf die Ursache der Zerstörung führt die sechs zu einem Lagerbunker, in dem Wissenschaftler untergebracht sind, die die letzte Hoffnung der Erde für die Zukunft darstellen. Leider erregte ihr landendes Raumschiff die Aufmerksamkeit einer der Banden, die auf der Suche nach Nahrung und Ressourcen durch die zerstörte Landschaft streifen, und führte sie direkt zu dem sorgfältig versteckten und gut ausgestatteten Unterschlupf. Die Bande belagert das Lagerhaus und kämpft sich in einem blutigen Kampf, der auf beiden Seiten Leben kostet, ins Innere.
