Dixit: Daydreams ist eine Erweiterung für Dixit , die 84 neue Karten zur Verwendung mit diesem Spiel enthält. Bei Dixit übernimmt in jeder Runde ein Spieler die Rolle des Geschichtenerzählers, wählt eine Karte aus seiner Hand, erzählt dann eine Geschichte, singt ein Liedchen oder tut auf andere Weise etwas, das seiner Meinung nach mit der gespielten Karte zusammenhängt. Jeder andere Spieler wählt dann eine Karte aus seiner eigenen Hand und gibt sie heimlich dem Geschichtenerzähler. Diese Karten werden gemischt und aufgedeckt, dann stimmen die Spieler darüber ab, welche Karte der Geschichtenerzähler gespielt hat. Wenn entweder niemand oder alle für den Geschichtenerzähler stimmen, erhält er keine Punkte; Wenn er einige, aber nicht alle Stimmen erhalten hat, punktet er anhand der Anzahl der erhaltenen Stimmen. Jeder Spieler, der eine richtige Stimme abgegeben hat oder bei der Kartenabgabe eine Stimme erhalten hat, punktet ebenfalls. Nach einer bestimmten Anzahl an Runden gewinnt der Spieler mit den meisten Punkten.
