Bestehend aus Howard Werth (Gesang, elektrische Nylonsaitengitarre), Keith Gemmell (Saxophon, Klarinette, Blockflöte, Flöte), Trevor Williams (Bass, Gesang) und Tony Connor (Schlagzeug, Percussion, Vibes) hatte Audience eine fanatische Anhängerschaft, insbesondere auf auf dem Kontinent, wo sich ihre vom Jazz beeinflusste Art des Progressive Rock als beliebt erwies (was der Band den Top-Ten-Status in Italien einbrachte). „The House on the Hill“, veröffentlicht im Mai 1971, war das zweite Album der Band für Charisma und ist wohl ihr bekanntestes. Das von Gus Dudgeon produzierte Album enthielt den legendären Titelsong und Klassiker wie Jackdaw und You're Not Smiling. Diese Neuauflage von Esoteric Recordings enthält drei Bonustracks (einer bisher unveröffentlicht) und wurde von den Original-Charisma-Masterbändern remastered. Es enthält eine Broschüre mit restaurierten Kunstwerken und einen Essay von Sid Smith mit einem exklusiven Interview mit Howard Werth.
