Matthews Southern Comfort-Gründermitglied Iain Matthews und ihr Leadgitarrist BJ Baartmans haben sich während des Covid-19-Lockdowns zusammengetan, um zehn Songs zu schreiben, die in Form des Albums „Distant Chatter“ veröffentlicht werden. Iain gründete natürlich das ursprüngliche MSC, nachdem er Fairport Convention verlassen hatte, und verbrachte die nächsten 50 Jahre im Musikgeschäft als Solokünstler und mit Plainsong und More Than A Song sowie anderen Kooperationen. Iain lernte BJ im Jahr 2003 kennen. Seitdem respektieren sie die Talente des anderen und spielen und nehmen gemeinsam auf. Ihre neue Musik ist eine Sammlung von Roots-Americana-Songs mit einem düsteren und farbenfrohen Sound und ohrenbetäubenden Hooklines. Im Februar 2022 begeben sie sich auf eine UK-Tournee und spielen sowohl altes als auch neues Material.
