Product Description
The increasing interest in music of the 1920s and 1930s brings to the forefront leading exponents of the genre. The three performers on this CD certainly fall into that category. Between them they have a wealth of experience playing in bands specialising in that era such as The Pasadena Roof Orchestra, The Charleston Chasers, Bob Kerr's Whoopee Band, Debbie Arthurs' Sweet Rhythm, The 1930s Jazz Recording Project as well as more conventional Jazz Bands such as Chris Barber's, Kenny Ball's and Harry Gold's Pieces of Eight. Martin Litton is one of the UK's leading Stride and Ragtime pianists; Spats Langham has few equals in the banjo style of Harry Reser, the guitar style of Eddie Lang and Al Bowly style vocals; Malcolm Sked provides the solid underpinning of the music on Sousaphone and Double Bass. The trio was formed to undertake a tour of Australia in 2008 and was so successful they decided to keep the format. Go to any of the UK's traditional Jazz festivals or any of the multitude of 'themed' weekend events and more than likely you'll find these three musicians such is their popularity. Their previous CD was extremely well received and proved a good seller.

I've made a journey back to the vinyl records by buying a turntable and amplifier and decided to purchase the division bell on vinyl by pink Floyd as it's one of the best albums I've ever heard..
I was able to purchase a sealed copy of this long deleted rare edition of album Avonmore via Yachew who shipped it promptly. Their price was the best online.
