Marvel Champions: The Mad Titan's Shadow is a Living Card Game (LCG) from Fantasy Flight that continues to grow and expand with new content on a roughly monthly basis. Rather than relying on random booster packs, this game features set cards, such as hero expansion decks, new schemes and villains. The gameplay is cooperative and centers around hand management. Each hero has a set of cards specific to them, and players can either use a pre-built deck or select cards from two other decks - a general deck with generic cards and one of four attribute decks (leadership, justice, aggression, and protection). The attribute decks are accurately named and provide a helpful indication of the effects of the cards within. It's fun to fit characters with decks that match their theme - for example, Captain America with a leadership build - but players can also mix things up for added challenge.

Villains come into play with their own decks, including a main scheme that players must try to stop, minions, side schemes, and more. Each hero can be in their heroic form or alter ego, and the villain reacts differently to each. If the hero is in their alter ego form, the villain doesn't know who they are and continues with their evil scheme. The game is thematic and provides a good challenge for players, with meaningful team-ups and interesting dynamics between heroes and villains.

This is the third campaign expansion for the popular Marvel Champions game, and it features the Mad Titan himself and his minions of the Black Order as the main villains. In addition to these new villains, players will also find hero decks for Adam Warlock and Spectrum. The game is suitable for 1-4 players, with a playtime of 45-90 minutes and a recommended age of 14+.
