Dystopian Sabotage Set in the near future, The Resistance pits a small group of resistance fighters against a powerful and corrupt government. The resistance has launched a series of bold and daring missions to bring the government to its knees. Unfortunately spies have infiltrated the resistance ranks, ready to sabotage the carefully crafted plans. Even a single spy can take down a resistance mission team, choose your teams carefully or forever lose your chance for freedom. Secret Identities Players are given identity cards representing either Resistance Operatives or Imperial Spies. For three to five rounds, they must depend on each other to carry out missions against the Empire and try to deduce the other players’ identities and gain their trust. Discussion is allowed and encouraged. Deduction Each round, a leader entrusts a certain number of players to go on the mission. After a vote on whether the team is trustworthy, the chosen players secretly decide to succeed or fail the mission. Based on the results, either the Resistance wins (the mission succeeds) or the Empire does (the mission fails). When either team wins three missions, they have won the game. From each of these results players can start deducing who the spies are – but will the Resistance be able to uncover the spies in time? Deception Filled with promises, accusations and backstabbing, The Resistance is simple to learn, extremely fun to play and the game length means it can be played quickly or multiple times in the same session. A fundamental rule of the game is that players may say anything they want, at any time during the game. Discussion, deception, intuition and logical deductions are all equally important to winning - especially if you’re trying to convince everyone else you’re not a spy.
