Humphrey Lyttelton, the legendary British jazz trumpeter, joins forces with highly-rated European musicians on this album. Despite having caused shock and disbelief when, in the middle 1950s, Humphrey Lyttelton quit traditional jazz and formed a mainstream band, he never quite forsook his traditional roots. Throughout his career he would return to playing in a more traditional-style band for a number of one-off projects.
On this album he joins forces with three of Europe’s leading players: French clarinettists Pierre Atlan and Jean-Francois Bonnel and acclaimed Swedish trumpeter, Bent Persson. They are joined by other leading UK musicians including Keith Nichols, Stan Greig, Wally Fawkes, John RT Davies, Paul Sealey and Mac White. The repertoire and style is largely from the classsic era of the 1920s rather than that of British trad.

I've made a journey back to the vinyl records by buying a turntable and amplifier and decided to purchase the division bell on vinyl by pink Floyd as it's one of the best albums I've ever heard..
