MARKETING AND PROMOTION The Rockingbirds are happy to announce the release of their 4th album More Rockingbirds on Friday 12th April 2019, which is released on Hanky Panky Records. Following their last album, the critically acclaimed The Return of The Rockingbirds in 2013, More Rockingbirds is their first to include new members, multi-instrumentalist Patrick Ralla and drummer Stephen Gilchrist. Recorded in Hackney in Sean Read s own Famous Times Studios the lbum was produced by Sean with assistance from Gem Archer. All the songs were written by singer Alan Tyler when he was living on a boat off the River Thames on the tidal Deptford Creek. Some of the songs are clearly influenced by the urban, yet watery surroundings. Elsewhere on the album there are strident country rockers, a trademark of the band s lively live appearances. The music features a vast array of instruments, from guitars, pedal steel and banjos to trombones and trumpets, all of which were played by various members of the band. We hope you enjoy listening to More Rockingbirds as much as the band enjoyed making it. The Rockingbirds will be launching the album at the Ramblin Roots Revue Americana Festival on the 13th April with live dates following throughout the spring and summer.
