Aged just 17, Sonia Evans was discovered by Pete Waterman after she approached him outside a Liverpool radio station and insisted that he should hear her sing. Within months, her 1989 debut smash ‘You’ll Never Stop Me Loving You’ had made Sonia the youngest British female artist to top the charts since Mary Hopkin, and the following year, she became the first ever to score five Top 20 singles from one album. Sonia quickly established an adoring audience on the three successive Hitman Roadshow tours of the UK with fellow PWL acts including Kylie, Jason, Sinitta and Hazell Dean.
