Jim Jarmusch’s cult film from 1989 won him an award at the Cannes Festival. Probably his most emblematic picture, it starred Steve Buscemi, Joe Strummer, Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Cinqué Lee, and Masatoshi Nagase & Y?ki Kud?, the young Japanese couple wandering through Memphis – the city of Elvis – who gives the story its setting.

The quartet set up by John Lurie (guitar, harmonica), Marc Ribot (guitar, banjo), Tony Garnier (bass) and Douglas Bowne (drums) elaborate a nocturnal and contemplative rhythm & blues, as fascinating as hypnotic!.
