The Sopwith F.1 Camel is the most famous British fighter from the First World War. It was designed and built by the Sopwith Aviation Company. This machine gained fame due to its high combat efficiency and maneuverability. Sopwith Camels allowed Britian to effectively fight for supremacy in the air with German planes. Camel fighters shot down a total of 1,294 enemy machines during the war. In mid-1918, Camel fighters became somewhat obsolete due to insufficient speed and poor performance at higher altitudes, so they were repurposed for attacks on ground targets. They also served as support for infantry and harassed German ground forces. Our model is piloted by a figure inspired by William Barker. This Canadian by origin is the most famous Sopwith Camel pilot. The Camel he piloted was the most effective fighter machine in the history of the RAF. Barker shot down 46 planes and observation balloons in one year of service! The Sopwith F.1 Camel model made of COBI construction blocks carefully recreates (in a new 1:32 scale) a historical aircraft from the Great War period. It has a movable propeller, wing ailerons and spinning wheels. High-quality prints perfectly recreate the historical markings of the aircraft. We've completely dispensed with stickers! The solid construction also makes it a perfect model for both fun and display. The model includes a sensational figure of a pilot: Major William Barker, Ace RAF. Thanks to COBI construction blocks, the legend of the Great War has returned in this beautiful edition. It is the perfect model for fans of the history of aviation, and it will definitely arouse admiration and attract attention.
