STUNNING EARLY SHOW FROM NUGENT’S FIRST SOLO \- TOUR\n• Ted Nugent dropped the Amboy Dukes band name for good in 1975, and signed to Epic Records. Derek St. Holmes (guitar, vocals), Rob Grange (bass) and Clifford Davies (drums) were the primary additional band members for his 1970s multi\-platinum] albums: Ted Nugent (1975), Free\-for\-All (1976) and Cat Scratch Fever (1977). These releases produced the popular radio anthems ‘Hey Baby’, ‘Stranglehold’, ‘Dog Eat Dog’, and ‘Cat Scratch Fever’. Despite most of the song\-writing credits being listed as solely Nugent, St. Holmes later claimed they were co\-written by the whole band, and that Nugent took sole credit as a way to not pay them royalties.\n• It was during these three years that Nugent emerged as a guitar hero to hard rock fans, many of whom were unaware of his lengthy apprenticeship with the Amboy Dukes. This band line\-up toured extensively, released the multi\-platinum live album Double Live Gonzo! (1978), but broke up in 1978 when St. Holmes and Grange departed. St. Holmes was replaced by Charlie Huhn and Grange by Dave Kiswiney.\n• One of the post\-Dukes line\-up’s finest early shows was played in Central Park, New York City on 29th August ’75, and event which found Ted and his entourage performing a fine selection of cuts from Nugent’s debut solo record, with the entire show broadcast live by the King Biscuit network. This set is now released on this new CD for the first time.\n• Bonus tracks here come from a 1977 show by the same group, from another broadcast recording of a gig played on 7th July 1977 in Clarkston, MI, shortly after the release of Nugent’s classic Cat Scratch Fever LP.\n1. I've made a journey back to the vinyl records by buying a turntable and amplifier and decided to purchase the division bell on vinyl by pink Floyd as it's one of the best albums I've ever heard..
