Nicholas Krgovich is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Vancouver, Canada. Described by the legendary Robert Wyatt as "quite beautiful, very touching? human" he has been releasing records and playing shows since 2002. He formed his first band P:ANO while still in high school, they made a string of acclaimed chamber pop albums, which led to recordings with the girl group-inspired GIGI, the icy displacement of the R&B informed NO KIDS, and most recently (and consistently) the singular pop dreams released under his own name. Even though the material is often wildly diverse, there is an unmistakable sense of Krgovich's deep commitment to exploring the endless possibilities of pop, his discerning ear for sonic detail, and an ambition that occasionally borders on the absurd. This Spring is a full record of covers from the Vancouver artist Veda Hille In Nicholas words :: "Last spring, full COVID lockdown had lined up with the cherry blossoms blooming in the neighbourhood. For some reason Veda's music and maybe even Veda herself has always been synonymous with springtime to me so I haphazardly put all of her albums on my phone and started taking long walks around the neighbourhood, appreciating the season and listening to this music that has been with me for most of my life. First as a dumpy, kind of sad teen in the suburbs, walking home from school listening on a discman with neckphones and now this thirty-eight year old with a lot of idle time on his hands looking around and being like "what is all this even???" I had also recently played a show in LA where we learned her song "Plants" and a lot of people came up to me afterwards being like "what the heck was that Plants song?", everyone going to their phones and queueing up "Veda Hille" on their Spotify accounts. So, I was just like "wait, that's what I'm gonna do! I'm gonna make a covers album of Veda's songs!" And then that was that, I was off to the races and now it's done and I'm so happy to be able to share it with her and all of you.

I've made a journey back to the vinyl records by buying a turntable and amplifier and decided to purchase the division bell on vinyl by pink Floyd as it's one of the best albums I've ever heard..
