After it started I thought it was the wrong film. The first 20 minutes were about a guy that appeared to be about 30 that has just finished high school and his parents want him to get a job. He meets a supposed WWII vet that looks about 60 instead of 80-90, and learns about his time as a member of the filthy 13. The filthy 13 was an actual unit in WWII and this film makes them look like they know nothing about combat in the flashbacks. Most of the weapons look like toys, the leader Carrie’s a lever action 30-30 and repeatedly pulls the trigger without ever cocking the rifle. Half of the unit is taken out by a sniper in the first action as the stand around in a clearing trying to figure out what to do. Half of the remaining unit is killed by a dress uniform wearing SS officer firing his pistol through the floorboards of a farm house. The French family all speak perfect English of course. I couldn’t finish the rest of the movie because it was so bad. If the budget for this piece of crap exceeded $1000 the studio got ripped off. Looks like a student film.
I've made a journey back to the vinyl records by buying a turntable and amplifier and decided to purchase the division bell on vinyl by pink Floyd as it's one of the best albums I've ever heard..
I was able to purchase a sealed copy of this long deleted rare edition of album Avonmore via Yachew who shipped it promptly. Their price was the best online.
