The name comes from the mispronunciation of the word microfono (Italian word for microphone ) by the 4-year-old son of Angelo who says crimofono ; the Anglicisation of that word came naturally. 11 brilliant english songs (although they come from Milan, Italy) written under several influences gained over the time driven by the passion for British and American recordings, this record reflects the nature of their twenty-year collaboration with the help of Pablo Leoni on percussions and Michele Fazio playing piano and keys. CRIME O PHONE will be able to make you travel and taste all the musical history of which Angelo and Damiano are spokesmen wherever good music is played. From the west coast flavoured music of the 70s until today, from the American canyons to the London suburbs, from the deserts to the Irish valleys, from the endless plains in which you can experience the golden grain of the notes that comes out of Damiano s guitar to the wide valleys and precipitous mountains on which Angelo s voice flies high...this is the power oh their music: passion for music lived day by day!
