Noch ungewöhnlicher ist, dass Ben, Patrick und CJ anders auch jahrhundertealte Chormusik längst verstorbener klassischer Komponisten genießen. Aber ganz zu schweigen von den Soutanen und Chorröcken – die Chorknaben singen vielleicht wie Engel, aber in ihren Designeranzügen sehen sie eher wie eine stilvolle Boyband aus.
Die Junior-Version der Three Tenors entstand nach einer landesweiten Suche, die Talentscouts zu fast 50 Kathedralen und Kirchen im ganzen Land führte. Hunderte von Jungen wurden vorgesprochen, bevor Ben Inman, 12, vom Southwell Minster in Nottinghamshire unter der Regie von Paul Hale ausgewählt wurde, und seine neuen Bandkollegen, Patrick Aspbury, 12, und CJ Porter-Thaw, 10, wurden beide als Sänger der berühmten Show entdeckt Chor in der Kathedrale von Ely unter der Leitung von Paul Trepte. Obwohl ihr Album hauptsächlich aus traditioneller Chormusik wie Allegris Miserere und Bachs Ave Maria besteht, enthält es Themen aus den Fernsehsendungen Mr Bean und The Vicar Of Dibley sowie Pop-Oldies wie Eric Claptons Tears In Heaven und He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother, populär gemacht durch Neil Diamond und The Hollies.
